This is a pure white early spring flowerimg Colchicum. Although delicate looking this bulb is very hardy and will grow happily outside, flowering at the same time as the snowdrops. It doubles up most years and can be divided when dormant after 3-4 years. The flowers are just above ground level with the leaves 15cm tall and starting to grow just after flowering. Plant 7cm deep in a well drained soil with added humus.
