This dark purple flowered Iris appears above ground in Feb. It is quite happy to grow in well drained soil in a sunny position. Protect the flowers from slugs. It will bulk up well and can be divided and spread around the garden after a few years. Plant 6cm deep. Can be grown in a pot outside and brought in to the greenhouse when it is flowering
